Nice Job Patz

Posted : 13 years, 7 months ago on 20 September 2010 04:29 (A review of Remember Me (2010))

Don't really like romance movies, but this was great. Even though that ending made cry like a girl, it was great, but I really think everyone would cry at the end of this movie. The story was really well written, you really got to know the characters and their families, nothing was left out and you could really feel the emotion from all the actors. Robert Pattinson, will you please step away from Twilight, and do more movies I am interested in. I loved him as Salvador Dali in Little Ashes and he was even better in this. I really felt his emotion in this, and really fell in love with his character. Oh and Emile De Ravin from Lost is in it, and she wasn't that bad at all. Pierce Brosnan, well I don't have to tell you how great he is, because he is just outstanding. Like I said I don't like romantic movies, but I loved this, check it out, and believe me that ending will make you cry.

Coodos To Drew Barrymore

Posted : 13 years, 7 months ago on 11 September 2010 11:51 (A review of Whip It)

A movie I thought that looked pretty dumb, and too much like a chick flick, even though I love Ellen Page, I probably wasn't going to see this movie, until I read some reviews. Plus my friend said it was actually funny and good. So I decided to give it a try and what I watched wasn't bad at all it was actually pretty good. Theres some really great comedy, especially Jimmy Fallon, who was hysterical. The roller derby games will keep you on the edge of your seat, and the acting which I always hope to be good was actually good. Now I know what you're thinking, I am going to rave about Ellen Page, right. Well you're right, not a strong performance by her, but still good, the one that surprised me was Daniel Stern who would have thought that someone who is funny can be a good serious actor, which rarely happens. A good movie,a good directing debut by Drew Barrymore, watch it, I mean Whip It.

Bad build up, decent action

Posted : 13 years, 7 months ago on 5 September 2010 06:07 (A review of Legion)

Man did the trailor make this movie look awesome, and it wasn't. The build up to this movie was so boring, most of the characters talked about how their lives were than worrying about what sort of angels are going to attack next. The action wasn't even that great, it was like the action would happen, it wouldn't last long, and then they go into the diner, and talk about what life they want to live. The acting wasn't that strong either. I'll give it that there were some cool scenes, but they should have cut half this movie out, and it would have been at least decent.

Comedy for everyone!

Posted : 13 years, 8 months ago on 22 August 2010 06:44 (A review of Death at a Funeral)

When I rented this movie, I thought one thing, "black jokes". After the first 10 minutes I kept thinking that, but when everyone arrived at the house, it started to be very spontaneous and funny. There was really something for everyone, my favorite was James Marsden, who played cyclops in the x-men series. He was just high the whole time, and really made me crack up. Tracy Morgan was also very funny, well when isn't he funny. Another reason why I picked this movie out was because of the all-star cast, doesn't mean its going to be good, but it defiantly lived it up to it. It wont be one of my favorite movie, but it defiantly made me laugh. Now I must check out the original Death at a Funeral.

WOW!

Posted : 13 years, 9 months ago on 2 August 2010 07:34 (A review of Memento)

This movie is so great, kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Christopher Nolan really knows how to make you think, and keep you guessing. Its pretty different because the story is told backwards, then when you think you know how its going to end, it is just changed last minute and you are left with a blank look on your face and are saying to yourself "what just happened.'' The acting was superb in this Guy Pearce really stood out in this moive. I suggest you buy this movie, because its something you can watch over and over again. 8.4/10

Boring, and not so great

Posted : 13 years, 9 months ago on 2 August 2010 07:25 (A review of Cop Out)

Ok I will say there were some funny parts in this movie, but it got old really quick. There are parts where it just drags on, that I wish this movie would just end so I can return it back. Bruce Willis's acting will make Ben Affleck look like Sean Penn, thats how bad he was in this movie. Tracey Morgan was the only good thing about this movie, he was funny. Now there are funnier movies out there but Tracey was really funny in it. So dont waste your time, unless you want a few laughs here and there.

Decent, but a great performance

Posted : 13 years, 9 months ago on 31 July 2010 04:49 (A review of Peacock (2010))

Cillian Murphy is all you need to know about. The Academy better give this guy and oscar nomination, or even a win. This is with a doubt his best performance, playing and very nervous and akward man, then going to play his made up wife, who is more down to earth. The movie itself, was good, not very memorable, but a decent drama, with a good story. All in all it wasnt to memorable of a movie, but the performance by Cillian Murphy is amazing, and if you love Cillian you should defiantly check it out because he doesn't dissapoint.

Unique Film Making

Posted : 13 years, 9 months ago on 30 July 2010 04:38 (A review of The Tracey Fragments)

This has to be the most unique indie film I have seen. What is so unique about it is that, theres only a few times, when the movie is a full screen. The whole time most of the movie has at least 4-6 different small screens at once. Now its not to hard to follow with all the screens, but it defiantly makes you think a little. There a lot of no named actors in this movie, but like most indie films I have seen they were really good. Once, again, I know I say it alot, but Ellen Page was awesome, this is defiantly my favorite performance of her. Much better than Juno, which seems to be everyone's favorite. I tell you this the movie is short its only an hour and seventeen minutes, but it defiantly keeps you interested. Not too much is solved with this movie, but like me you will appreciate how the director made this film and how unique it is. Very unique film, Ellen Page is amazing, its short and sweet.

"The Dream is Collapsing"

Posted : 13 years, 9 months ago on 19 July 2010 06:52 (A review of Inception)

Inception is the greatest movie ever made, and I say that with alot of confindence. Where can you find another movie, with awesome acting, great special effects, with not too much CGI used, great suspense and action, and also a love story that isn't corny. This movie keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat through out all the two and a half hours its playing. The performances are all top notch. This has to be Joseph-Gordon Levitt's breakout performance, I wouldn't give him the best supporting actor oscar nominee, but maybe a Golden Globe for him, because he was awesome. On the other hand Dicpario deserves the oscar for this, probably my favorite performance by him. Now what about the ladies, well they were also awesome. Ellen Page, like usually did not dissapoint, and Marion Cotillard was also awesome. This movie amazed me, so much I didn't want it to end. I wish it never did, almost like a dream you liked. Everyone should see this movie, it's not just a movie but an experience, for the mind. "You must not be afraid to dream bigger darling" 10/10
