Pleasant Movie

Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 11 February 2011 06:29 (A review of Annie Hall)

I have always wanted to see this movie, but never really had the desire to. I found it was free on demand and I decided to check it out, I'm glad I did. It won 4 oscars, so already I knew that it has to be good. I was suprised on how actually funny it was I was cracking up through most of the movie. The acting by Diane Keaton was great she defiantly deserved the oscar win. Woody Allen was also great too. It had some similarities to 500 day of summer, but the only thing I didnt like about it was that it lost touch in the last 30 minutes. It was still a very good movie, it just wasnt as funny and wasnt or as interesting as the first hour was.

Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 29 January 2011 08:04 (A review of General Hospital)

Now I know what you thinking, why do like this show, well give me a chance to explain. One day my mom told me James Franco was going to be on, so me being a huge fan of him I had to check it out, before you know it I got hooked on the show. Now what I notice about this show, is that there is GOOD ACTING, something on heard of in soaps. Yes I have tried to watch the other soaps, but the others arent as dark, acting is terrible, and the story lines are way to confusing. I mean most soaps have the "you just slept with your uncle/cousin." Who wants to watch that, I found that General Hospital doesnt do that, which I like. The mob stories arent corny, and the action usually lasts longer then other dumb soaps. So if you're wondering why I like this I just gave you my answer, the only thing I dont like about the show is that sometimes it can get really boring.

Real Time with Bill Maher review

Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 29 January 2011 08:00 (A review of Real Time with Bill Maher)

Now lets get one thing straight I might not agree with everything Bill says, and I dont, but its a great show. He gets every side of political views covered, one week he might have all republicans, another all liberals, and another he would have 2 liberals to 1 republican, or 2 republicans to 1 liberal. Thats why I love the show so much, every side gets their chance to say what they say. Now I dont agree with Bill all the time, but the people he brings in are really smart. Plus celebrities are usually on the show. The only thing I dont like is when he beats on religion, but I can see his point. He is funny, sometimes the jokes arent that good. All in all you dont have to like Bill to like the show.

Just "Ok"

Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 28 January 2011 07:03 (A review of The Uninvited)

The Uninvited was a movie I was interested in seeing. I got my first glimpse of Emily Browning and what she can really do. She impressed me in this, since usually there is usually nothing special about acting in horror films, but she really carried the film. There were a few good scares, but nothing you can jump off your couch from. The film also has a nice feel to it, until shit happens. Its a really different horror flick, but now I will tell you why the 4 rating.

I hate the new type of horror films. I hate that they have to remake every horror film from the 40s-80s, and make it so modern, so little teenagers can have a good scare, when half the movies arent scary at all. The only one I liked was The Last House on the left. The Uninvited had the typical horror film things, like I trip and fall, and oh shit the door is locked. There were a few differences between other horror films, like good acting, a twist and a few good scares, but its nothing special, its an OK movie, I would recommend if you want to waste a an hour or too, but hey check it out you might enjoy it, Emily Browning really stole the show.

One Word-AWESOME

Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 26 January 2011 08:44 (A review of Reservoir Dogs)

"Hardy fuckin har."

ACTING 8/10: The acting in this movie is great. A few guys I have heard of but never really saw in a movie, they all impressed me. Steve Buscemi is known for great acting so it wasnt supsrising that he was great in it. Lots of yelling in the movie and I for some reason love when actors yell.

SCREENPLAY 9/10: The screenplay is pretty awesome. Lots of quotes that are worth remembering. There was a lot of cursing just to warn the ones who for some reason cant look past cursing and just watch the movie.

DIRECTING 9/10: Tarientino did another awesome job at directing. To get all these scenes to look great was really impressive, I liked it alot because there arent a lot of settings in the movie, to take a simple idea and to make it see and feel real, I got to give cuudos to Tarinetino.

STORY 10/10: The story is really original. Its unique in its own way, and that is you figure out the story as you go on, its not really explained in the first half hour.

The reason I am not giving it a 10, is because there are one or two scenes that did drag a little, but everything else was pretty much perfect. If you're thinking about watching it, I suggest you borrow it or rent it because this movie ROCKS. WATCH IT

Jason Bourne Meet Tomb Raider Lady

Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 15 January 2011 01:44 (A review of Salt )

Yes I said it Jason Bourne meet Tom Raider lady. Coming in I wasn't expecting a very awesome film, but after I felt like "hey i just saw a pretty good movie."

ACTING: 6/10 The acting was a little above average. Not a big Jolie fan but she was really good in this, her character was really developed well. Liev Schrieber did a good job in his role, yes that is sabertooth from X-Men Origins

STORY: 8/10 The story was very original, even though it was like Jason Bourne movies, they added a couple things to make it their own.

SCREENPLAY/DIALOUGE: 6/10 Above average here, a couple of lines ive heard before, but at the sametime it wasnt that corny

DIRECTING: 7/10 The directing was really good especially for the stunts in this.

The overall feel for this for me was a good action film. I was especting something decent and something I wouldnt watch again, but hey if someone wants to watch this with me I wouldnt mind checking it out again. Theyre were a few good twists and overall a good action film

Im 6'5 220Lbs and theres 2 of me

Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 14 January 2011 05:24 (A review of The Social Network)

Award season is upon us, and this is getting lots of buzz. Well they can keep buzzing because it might just win most of the awards.

ACTING: 7/10 The acting was good, young actors don't impress me that much, but thats me. The stand out wad Andrew Garfield, I thought he was pretty great, and yes he did impress me. Also Armie Hammer was also impressive playing both of the Winklevoss twins.

SCREENPLAY: 8/10 The screenplay or dialouge was really great. The quotes and dialouge was written and prepared really well. "No I want to hire the sopranos to beat the shit out of him with a hammer"

DIRECTING: 9/10 David Fincher once again prooves that he is a genius at directing. I mean really it must have been hard having one guy play 2 characters. That takes a lot of thinking and great timing and preparedness

Overall this movie was really great. The flashback thing they did throughout the whole movie was well thought up. I enjoyed it I could watch it again if I wanted too. I found it very interesting and I did laugh out loud at certain parts

A better sequal

Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 5 January 2011 05:26 (A review of Iron Man 2)

Yes I think this is better than the first movie

SCREENPLAY/DIALOUGE: The screen play or dialouge wasn't too special. I give it a 5/10, it wasn't like I was writing down the quotes, yet it wasnt a horrible dialouge

ACTING: I give the acting a 8/10, Mickey Rourke was great with the russian accent. Robert Downey JR. never dissapoints. Jon Farveau added a little comedy. Scralett Johansen was a suprise, I though she played the role good. That Patrow lady was ok, I don't know why she was screaming at the race car scene, other than that nothing really special, but SAM ROCKWELL, ROCKED IT. This guy is awesome and he shows it in this, I was so glad he was in this because he is the man and pretty much stole the movie. And yes I know Don Cheadle was in it, he fit the role very well, just was a little corney

STORY: I give the story a 6/10, it was all centered on Tony Stark's idiotic ways, I was dissapointed he wasn't as funny as he was in the first one.

Overall I liked it better than the first, a bigger cast, more characters, better action, and much more interesting than the first.

Same shit different day

Posted : 13 years, 3 months ago on 5 January 2011 05:19 (A review of Elsewhere)

...And now for something completley different

SCREENPLAY/DIALOUGE: I give the dialouge a 1/10, IT SUCKED. The dialogue was so bad I rolled my eyes at some of the things they said in this movie. Was this written by a 5 year old

ACTING: I give the acting a 5/10, Anna Kendrick stole the show pretty much. Everyone else wasn't special at all, heck most of it was bad. Yes I know its a "b" movie but try a littler better, I dont know but maybe Anna Kendrick knows how to act.

STORY: I give the story a 3/10, it wasnt the most original story at all. Just the same crap girl dissapears and we have to find her, but this time involving teens. OHHHHH MAN ORIGINAL!

So the overall is one of the worst movies ever. Anna Kendrick stole a few scenes from the really bad "I act like a teen" cast. The suspense at the end was really well put, but you're left with the feeling of "thats it"

Terrible

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 19 December 2010 04:38 (A review of 12 Rounds)

A very short review. Terrible acting, bad story, just really bad, the first 15 minutes were the best. The movie should be called John Cena running everywhere. I dont know why they would make this. I am disgusted at myself for sitting through it
