A little corny for me

Posted : 12 years, 10 months ago on 8 June 2011 11:04 (A review of Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack)

"Lets take a picture then we'll run" WOW! Yes that is a line from this movie. This movie has to have the most corniest voice overs in any Godzilla movie ever. The writing was terrible I felt I was watching a syfy movie before Godzilla came. Let me tell you this is the biggest Godzilla I have ever seen, it looks like he gained weight. The story on the other hand wasn't too bad. The effects were really good nothing to bad there. I just hated the voice overs and acting, but it defiantly gave me a few laughs, but anyway I love Godzilla thats why this isn't going to be a bad rating, because Godzilla will probably eat me

Pretty Funny

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 2 June 2011 11:22 (A review of Easy A)

I thought this would be really dumb, but it turned about to be not so bad. It actually had some really funny parts. Emma Stone was alright maybe I'll be impressed in her new movie "Help", she will impress me if she is good in a drama. Thomas Haden Church was hilarious and so were Emma Stone's parents in this. The story was OK nothing hugely amazing or great, but it was a funny movie defiantly

WOW!

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 1 June 2011 04:51 (A review of Zombie EP)

This album is so freakin intense. Every song my mouth dropped because it was so dam heavy. No more melodic chords, how bout some deep crazy riffs. The background piano is still melodic but at the same time different. Daniel Williams improves with every album and he does so here. This album is INTENSE. Every track is a key track.

Random, but good

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 1 June 2011 04:20 (A review of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World)

"I gotta go pee on her." This was random, but it was good. At first it was turning into your same old teen movie, but then the girl comes and everything explodes. The effects start to come in and everything finally falls into place. It was funny, the fight scenes were great everyone did a decent job with acting and it ended up being a good movie. The writing was very good, a lot of quotable lines. It seemed that Michael Cera at some points couldn't really sell any of the writing but at some points could. Chris Evans was great, trying to act but also acting, you know what I mean when you watch it. Mary Elizabeth Winstead was also good and could defiantly sell the writing. I must also say that Jason Schwartzman was actually pretty funny. It reminded me at certain points of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind. With Mary Elizabeth's hair the sometimes random parts, and the snow. It all seemed like it was like that but for teens. Of course it was different. So as I rap up it was a good movie, with some cool effects with some very quotable lines, no bad acting except Michael Cera in a few parts, if your into fighting and effects no reason why you wouldn't like this. Still waiting to see a really great movie, haven't seen one since I watched Howl

Just the same

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 30 May 2011 10:46 (A review of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides)

Am I watching the last 3 Pirates movie or is this the new one. Its the same as the last 3 movies. Nothing has changed no difference at all, well of course theres a few. Why is it the same well, something happens then they talk for 15 minutes it was like this for the first 3 and now its the same for this. But the others were pretty interesting and this one just seemed to long and really dragged. The action was cool but when the actors were talking about the great fountain it just dragged on and seemed not interesting at all. The mermaids were pretty cool and different and the chase scene in the beigining was cool. It was good to see Stephen Graham in a blockbuster because he is one great actor. Geoffrey Rush of course no doubt hes great. Johnny Depp well we love him as Jack Sparrow. Penelope Cruz first movie I saw of her, really nothing special here. So in conclusion this movie slacked a lot, it was still worth watching but just not as interesting as the last 3. The mermaids and action was cool, but everything else seemed to not fit. You should still see it, I still love the franchise but this was just not that great. Hopefully if they make a 5th Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley come back because I missed them in this movie and they would have saved the movie at least.

A little suprise

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 30 May 2011 04:34 (A review of The Dilemma)

"its like hes dating Helen Keller." I am shocked from all the hatred towards this movie. Yes it does have flaws and some parts that are just dumb, but have you seen The Roommate talk about a bad movie. This movie actually suprised me I was expecting a comedy but what I got was a dark comedy. Kind of like The Cable Guy when you are expecting a funny movie but what you get is something very dark. Vince Vaughn did a nice job in this movie, heck I didnt even know he could act. Channing Tatum was actually hilarious, he has a future with films like these, instead of Dear John movies because he sucked in that. This is a movie that really throws something different at you. I am expecting one thing and got something else. But I am being a little mean giving it a 5 because there are some flaws and some parts that are just like a typical movie. Kind of shock Ron Howard can make films like Frost/Nixon and Beautiful Mind and then this. But it will be worth a watch, dont listen to the hatred

Killer

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 29 May 2011 04:45 (A review of For We Are Many)

For we are many starts off slow, with nothing to memorable, but then comes at you at all directions and really makes you rock out. This might be their heaviest album to date, the screams are lower and some of the breakdowns are really low and dirty. The riffs and solos are still awesome and all sound different.A great album for any metal fan and fan of All That remains.
Key Tracks: Hold on, The Last time, some of the people all of the time (has a brutal breakdown), from the outside, and faithless

Like watching paint dry

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 29 May 2011 04:11 (A review of The Roommate)

Can you get any worse, well maybe. This was very bad. I'd rather watch paint dry then watch this terrible movie. The screenplay was just terrible absolutely some of the worst writing ever. I felt like a 5 year old was telling me a story. Don't get me started on the acting, everyone was terrible in this, especially Leighton Meester, wow maybe she should find a new occupation because this isn't working for her. The action, HA! action/suspense absolutely no action until the end and that wasn't even great. The best part of this movie was the end credits, seriously don't waste your time, with this mess of a movie. Some of the worst writing and some of the worst acting ever!!

Not the best, still great

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 28 May 2011 06:46 (A review of Remission)

Mastodon is one sick band. They have proved that with all of their albums. They are such a tight band. This album shows how great they are even in their early stages of writing. This isnt their best album by far, but still kicks your ass. The riffs like usually are great and the drumming still tricks me a lot. The key tracks would be: Crusher destroyer, March of the fire ants, Where strides the behemoth, and ol'e nessie.

Had it moments

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 27 May 2011 06:30 (A review of Due Date)

"Check yourself before you reck yourself." Todd Phillips never dissapoints, even when he has top notch actors in his films. This movie might not be the funniest of his movies, but defiantly had a few good laugh out loud moments. There are a lot better Phillips films, but to a new comer to his films this is good to start out with. Robert Downey Jr. was the douche of this movie, but also had some funny lines. Galifanakis was hilarious as always. Just an above average comedy with some good laughs.
