Great performances, decent movie

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 14 December 2010 01:20 (A review of Before the Devil Knows You're Dead)

Likes: The performances by Ethan Hawke, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman were awesome. Theys should have gotten a nomination for them. The story was very good. Michael Shannon had a really good part.

Dislikes: It got old fast. By this I mean it was just the samething over and over again. Now I know it was the style of the film, to show what a certain person was doing at a certain time. It really bored me

Verdict: Awesome performances, decent movie, good watch

Good suspense

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 14 December 2010 01:15 (A review of Unstoppable)

Likes: The suspense in this is never ending. It kept me on the edge of my seat and glued to the screen. Denzel Washington was very funny, he had a lot of smart ass remarks, but at the sametime they were funny. The back story on both Chris Pine and Denzel is very well done. Chris Pine once again suprised me, he had a good performance. Also based on a true story

Dislikes: Kevin Dunn was annoying, actually I don't like him that much so thats probably why. It took a little bit longer to get into then I thought it would, but once it got going it was great

Verdict: A great suspense thriller, not the best of 2010 but worth the 8 bucks I spent, I wasnt dissapointed

A Classic Indeed

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 14 December 2010 01:10 (A review of The Godfather)

Likes: The story in this movie is great, people could mistake it for a true story. I will tell you it isnt't. The acting is pretty freakin sweet everyone is rather awesome in it. It has a great mix of drama and violence. Plus the 3 hours fly by, its really fast moving

Dislikes: For me nothing in this movie is a dislike. I will say is that some people could find it boring, on the other hand I found the 3 hours of this movie really interesting.

Verdict: I love it, one of my favorites of all time. It is defiantly a classic, and easy 10 for me

Not The Greatest but not bad also

Posted : 13 years, 6 months ago on 21 October 2010 02:51 (A review of Glee)

Let me tell ya, I really enjoy musicals, and coming in this I thought I'd be really hooked, but I wasn't not because I watch enough shows already, but because it's a high school drama. I'm 20 now and I don't need another high school drama I already had enough when i was in high school, but the bursting out into song is awesome. I love the random singing out of nowhere, its great, and the singing isn't terrible its like a musical. So not to bad of a show, hate the high school drama, but the bursting out in to song...awesome!

Build up to nothing

Posted : 13 years, 6 months ago on 18 October 2010 05:27 (A review of Insomnia)

This movie was great until the end, dont worry I wont tell you the end. I was very excited to see this film, and dont get me wrong it was great. The performances by Pacino and Robin WIlliams are riveting. Williams does a great job of playing a creepy killer, and Pacino amazes me again with another great performance. The build and the suspense is gripping, and then the end comes. Dont you want an ending that when the screen goes black you say to yourself "that was great", well this movie didn't leave me at all. I bought the build up to the end but when the end came what I thought would happen didn't. Its still worth a watch its a great movie but that ending could have been so much better.

Pretty Cool....For a Sequal

Posted : 13 years, 6 months ago on 17 October 2010 04:11 (A review of The Matrix Reloaded)

For a sequal that got so much hate, I liked this movie. Well you could say I am turning into a Matrix geek. I've seen the first about 3 times and finally got around to seeing this, I will say the beiging of the film was very draggy and boring, but it really picked up in suspense and action. The fight scenes are better than the first one, but I wished it was weirder than the first but all in all I liked it, and now I must watch the 3rd one since there is a cliff hanger at the end.

This is a movie

Posted : 13 years, 6 months ago on 11 October 2010 05:05 (A review of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind)

What a great movie, I love these movies that mess with your mind it makes everything more interesting. Jim Carrey shows why he is one of the best actors of my generation. Kate Winslet no matter what color her hair is always puts on a great show. There was also a great supporting cast, with the always supporting Mark Ruffalo, Ejiah Wood, Kirsten Dunts, and Tom Wilinkinson. This is a movie I could watch lots more times in the future. I love how it messes with your head, those to me are the best movies like, Inception, and The Matrix. I know for sure your mind will be fucked, but at the sametime it will thank you for checking out an awesome movie.

Great Suspense

Posted : 13 years, 6 months ago on 27 September 2010 04:53 (A review of No Country for Old Men)

The Coen Brothers do it again, with an excellent movie in No Country For Old Men. A movie that does not let you go and doesn't bore you at all. Like many Coen films the story isn't there right in front of you, its something you always have to find, and this is no exception. This is why I never thought that this movie was boring at all. I found myself talking to myself just to see if I was really understanding the story. The suspense is really great, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The other thing I like a lot about this movie was that you just weren't told too much which kept you watching, I mean if you think this movie doesn't glue you to the screen, how bout sitting through 3 hours of King Kong. No Country for old men, just a movie that you can't forget and that you need to see.

Brokeback Mountain review

Posted : 13 years, 7 months ago on 22 September 2010 07:53 (A review of Brokeback Mountain)

I don't know where to start with this film. There is so much raw emotion in this by the actors that you can feel it. Every performance in this movie is amazing, defiantly some of the best acting I have ever seen. Also people don't realize is that to make a good movie it needs a good story, and people don't look for that. They think "oh its gay i wont watch it", well you should cuz you won't be disspointed. 8.5/10
